The circle instead of the algorithm
Most collector cars are found through people. The platform should admit that instead of pretending otherwise.
Ask a collector how they found their last car and you will rarely hear "search results". You will hear a name: a specialist who mentioned it, a friend who knew the previous owner, a mechanic who had maintained it for a decade.
A Collector Circle formalises that without turning it into a marketing trick. Members share selected cars inside the circle before they are public. Nothing about the circle is visible unless its members decide so.
The important part is the wording. A statement is always one of three things: I know the seller personally. I have seen this car in person. I am only recommending this lot. None of those is an inspection, and none of them is a guarantee.
What we exclude by design: favour bids, shill bidding, coordinated bidding, and any reward for bringing a buyer. Friendship must never be a price support mechanism, and a recommendation must never be paid.
