Community, recommendation and moderation rules

1. What a Circle is

A Circle is a group of collectors who know each other personally. Cars can be shown inside a Circle before they are published openly.

Membership, friend lists and personal collections are private by default. Visibility has to be chosen deliberately; a Circle can be public, but its member list stays reduced for visitors (first name and initial only).

2. The three statements — and what they do not mean

“I know the seller personally.” — a personal relationship. Not a statement about the car.

“I have seen the car myself.” — an own visual impression at a specific time. Not an inspection, not a technical assessment.

“I am only recommending this lot.” — a personal tip. Not a statement about seller or car.

A personal connection is never a technical vehicle inspection, never a valuation and never a guarantee. We do not issue trust seals that suggest otherwise.

3. Friendship is never a bidding strategy

Prohibited without exception: favour bids, shill bidding, coordinated bidding, bidding on your own lot through another account, and arranged recommendations.

Bids and recommendations are logged with actor, time and technical characteristics. Suspicious patterns lead to exclusion from the auction, not to a warning only.

The seller participation is part of the fee model. It is not a recruitment premium and not a multi-level reward programme — nobody earns money by bringing further bidders.

4. Conduct in listings and messages

Required: truthful statements about the vehicle, disclosure of known defects, no misleading photos, no invented history or forged documents.

Prohibited: insults, discrimination, threats, spam, advertising for other platforms, attempts to move a deal off-platform to avoid fees, and publishing other people's data.

Questions and answers in a listing are public and stay with the listing.

5. Recommendations and visibility

A recommendation must be personal and voluntary. Paid recommendations, bulk invitations and automatic address-book imports are not provided and not permitted.

Demo invitations in this preview trigger no sending. No message leaves the system.

Every user can withdraw a recommendation; withdrawal is logged, the recommendation is marked as withdrawn and no longer shown as active.

6. Moderation: what happens when rules are broken

Moderation acts on four levels: (1) note and request to correct, (2) removal of content or recommendation, (3) temporary restriction of bidding or listing, (4) permanent exclusion.

Every moderation decision is recorded in an audit log with reason, actor and time, and can be reviewed. Affected users are informed of the reason.

Reported content is reviewed, not automatically deleted. Deliberately false reports are themselves a rule violation.

7. Reporting and contact

Suspected rule violations can be reported via the support form. Please include the listing or profile and what you observed.
