Why we cut the buyer fee in half

A buyer fee is not a detail. It decides which cars get offered and which collectors bother to bid.

When a platform charges 6 % on a 100.000 EUR car, the buyer pays 6.000 EUR for the privilege of arriving first. That number changes behaviour: it pushes buyers towards cheaper cars, it pushes sellers towards private deals, and it makes the platform's own incentives hard to explain.

Our plan is deliberately simple. Half of the comparable buyer fee: 3 % net, capped at 3.500 EUR. On a 100.000 EUR hammer price, that is 3.000 EUR instead of 6.000 EUR.

Half the buyer fee is only possible if the platform earns on both sides of a transaction. That is why the seller participates in our net commission instead of paying a separate listing fee. The exact rate is not decided yet, and we are not going to invent one for a press release.

What we will not do: raise the fee after a bidder is committed, introduce a surprise admin charge, or invent a "buyer's premium" line that nobody can explain. If the model changes, it changes visibly and before an auction starts.
